Snow Go (Aka Riding it out)

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

There's no feeling like riding choppers when there's snow on the side of the road or flurries in the air. It's a feeling I just can't explain especially in the mountains. On this day I found where they stopped maintaining the road when it snows in WNC.

Double Bar Rabbit Ears (AKA Polished Pullbacks)

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

Special order Double Cross bar Rabbit Ears! Always a pleasure to send out the top of the line stuff like these Polished Stainless bars. We have been waiting a long time for some one to ask us to double or triple up cross bars! Thanks for coming to us for all the rad stuff!

What's old is still old again... (AKA Cobbler's Shoe Redux)

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

Another in progress shot of the Cobbler's Shoe with the new to us Nikon. I've always been interested in photography and have needed a decent camera around the shop forever.

We may have something kind of big up our sleeves with this build. We'll have to wait to see which way things are going to turn out. We have some fun ideas for this build. Hopefully we will break them out this time around! The ole shop truck is always a work in progress…

Brass and Stainless-ness

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

Check out these brushed Stainless Super Deluxe T Bars with Polished brass! Available at DeepSixCycles.com

Just barely had a chance to shoot these with our new to us but old Nikon d5000 before we sent them out! It's really nice to finally have a decent camera in house. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it sooner than later. If they weren't all packaged up to ship I think a slightly different F stop would have been ideal. But I'm still rather pleased.

Special thanks to intheweedsphotography for letting me bug him a little about photo stuff when I was trying to pick a lens, etc. 🍻🤘🍻

Halwade's SpartanKiller

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

Back in the beginning of things, in the days when our little chopper scene was just an under current surfacing on blogs and forums beneath a sea of beach ball back tires and mile long stretched tank mainstream “customs”. A few short years after founding the shop I saw a thread on Chop Cult. Some one was looking to build a bike sourced with parts from as many solid little cottage shops from the 33 community as they could. I reached out and we made a deal. I remember polishing those manually machined pegs for days before I sent them out. I am so glad I have streamlined the process today. I did manage to see a few photos of the bike completed. I believe it had a feature on Chop Cult but honestly it could have just been a thread.

The other week I was searching around the web and found a link to it being featured in Hot Bike Magazine in the April 2015 Issue. I believe this was several years after having sent the pegs out to Magoo for the bike. I’m not sure why we didn’t make the build sheet in this Hot Bike article. We didn’t even have a website at the time of the sale and we were not as well known as we are today. But we’re still so stoked to have parts on the build. Thanks again Magoo! Check it out the article at the Hot Bike link below for more info!

Hexing Gas Caps

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

What’s this? Hexing gas caps for modern Harleys with threaded (non bayonet) fillers. Available in Brass or Aluminum. They are indexable up to a quarter turn so the flats of the cap will not fall in some arbitrary alignment when you tighten the cap down into the gas tank filler. Quick,Short & Custom

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

We are going to keep this post short and sweet. It's Friday, the clock is ticking and the candle is still burning at both ends. Here are some of the things we have whipped recently.

We do a lot of custom work. Such as these Brass Wheel Spacers.

A New Home For a New Little Lane Splitter!

Tom Bowie (Deep Six Cycles)

The raffle bike has a new home, can you believe it? It will be on it's way to V.A. shortly! We would like to thank every one who has helped us with this raffle. This raffle never would have happened with out partnering with East End Moto/Flying Chairs to make it happen. They  supplied the bike and a slew of other help and support while we worked together to make this happen. Butt's Chop Shop came threw with a bad ass donated paint job! The Burger Bar, Lazy Diamond & The Double Crown sold the heck out of tickets as did a few of our friends. Hard Drive sponsored our efforts and kicked down some parts for the bike. And of course special thanks to every one else who worked behind the scenes to help us out with this whole deal. We are really looking forward to handing a check to Richard Page to help out with the hospital bills from when he went down this winter/fall.

Check out this short video I made if you could not make it to The Melt Down in Hendersonville where we held the drawing. We had a great time seeing old friends and making some new ones. Come check out The Melt Down next year if you are in the area! Those Ton Up Highlands guys put on a heck of an event!

Deep Six Cycles Shirts! (A.K.A. Get one while they last!)

Deep Six Cycles

Deep Six Cycles Sweat Shirts, Long Sleeves, Tanks and Tees! Yeah that's right you can order them here! Go on and show that you support American hand crafted motorcycles and parts!

Carnage and the Beast! Oh wait, I mean beauty!

Deep Six Cycles

If you have not been paying attention to our posts on other social media you may not have realized that I managed to completely decimate the sprocket cover on my Ironhead Sportster chop.

Here is the carnage! Opps!

I was going to construct a whole new mount/ sprocket cover. But since I just wanted it done so I could ride I buzzed it back together. Hopefully this winter I will be able to get around to ordering up some material and fabbing one up!
Oh and this is just another one of those slammed mornings getting everything shipped out!

Just a good ole week. Never meanin no harm...

Deep Six Cycles

What have we been up to? Well, really just settling into the new shop with East End Motorsports. Setting up the new spot, arranging, organizing and turning out products.

We still ship Iron Pony Express from time to time.

Wait, could it be? Brass Pegs that fit Ironhead Sportsters and Shovelheads? That's it man, we have them you want them!

Did I mention that we have 1" Brass Foot Pegs for Iron Head Sportsters and Shovelheads? You know the ones you can't get nice pegs for any where. They fit those big ugly male frame mounts!

Here are a whole set of antiqued or "aged" brass hand grips and footpegs! I bet you didn't know we offered so many types of finish on our products.

Here are a few more shots of the pegs. This has been a much requested finish on our brass products lately!

Here we have our antiqued finish brass pegs on the right with common Harley style mounts on the left. One of our polished brass jockey/suicide shift knobs in the center and our brass "Screw It" footpegs fitted with mounts for Ironhead and Shovelhead Harleys.

Did you know that we still manually machine our parts? I know it's like the 50's never ended!

Some times we get requests to produce a part based on one we offer already but with a little twist to fit our customers needs or taste. Take this set of Deep Six Cycles Hexogram brass handgrips. They feature a double hex on one end.

Yes I know only old guys do it this way. Finishing up more parts and they are gone, gone, gone!

I was forced to go down town the other day... Strangely The Cobblers Shoe (my bike) didn't have anything to do with my morning in traffic court.

What have we been up to? Well lets have a look!

Deep Six Cycles

I have been working on a new line of Rabbit Ear or "Pull Back" bars. They have a turned piece of brass pressed over the cross bar on them. These bars are reasonably priced at $115 plus shipping. Get them powder coated black while leaving the brass as it and watch every ones mind blow! We can also do variations on this design including making them from Stainless Tubing. They look great with our Brass Grips, Pegs and other accessories. Check out our Web Store- Click here to see our Store! Or email us for more info- DeepSixCycles@gmail.com I still have a ton of ideas I need to put into production so keep checking back to see the latest!

Today we happened to get some large hunks of brass in! So naturally we machined some into a super duty groovy gas cap cover!  We will have them available in the web store affixed to gas caps as a turn key custom solution with in the next few weeks. If you would like to pre-order one or would like to request a quote on having an item custom machined for you please send us an email! DeepSixCycles@gmail.com
